Composer, musician…
Telling stories through music.

Abigail Neale is a Toronto-based composer and musician whose work is focused on creating and capturing moments that connect deeply with her audience.

Her musical training has roots in the classical idiom, and as a graduate of Humber College, has branched into a myriad of contemporary genres including jazz, pop, and R&B.

Drawing from years of experience as a multi-instrumentalist, her compositions pull on her ability to insightfully express the mood of a scene or genre. From the nuance of playful animations and video games to emphatic theatre scores, she loves exploring different soundscapes in her work.

Some of her favourite film music to date comes from Studio Ghibli and the Lord of the Rings.

Abigail’s work has been recognized with the St. John’s Music Award (2012), Moe Koffman Universal Music Award (2013), and the Dave Stillwell Arranging Award (2014).

In 2015, she released her first EP “Dreamscape” as composer and bandleader and has since notably written scores for C3 Toronto’s “Nowtivity” (2017) and the Toronto Fringe Festival’s “High Park Noir” (2017).

Let’s work together.
